General Info

Tucked away in the lively streets of Nishi-Shinjuku, Sushiebisu Nishi-Shinjuku Tokyo feels like the kind of spot you stumble upon once-and then keep coming back to. Located at Japan, 〒160-0023 Tokyo, Shinjuku City, Nishishinjuku, 7 Chome−10−10 西村ビル 1F, this izakaya-style restaurant blends a relaxed vibe with a menu that quietly impresses from the first bite.

Walking in, the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The counter service gives the space a casual, interactive feel, while the seating arrangement makes it comfortable whether you’re dining solo or with friends. It’s also surprisingly good for kids, which isn’t always the case with izakaya spots. The staff keep things moving efficiently, and a cold beer in hand quickly sets the tone for a laid-back evening.

The menu is where things really shine. A Sushi Tray is an easy starting point-fresh, balanced, and beautifully arranged. But the real standout is the こぼれイクラのサーモン巻き. It’s rich, indulgent, and topped generously with salmon roe that practically spills over, delivering that perfect burst of flavor in every bite. On the warmer side, the 海老酢で食べる小籠包 offers a unique twist, pairing juicy dumplings with a light shrimp vinegar that cuts through the richness in a refreshing way.

Seafood lovers will appreciate the 坂越の生牡蠣, which taste clean and ocean-fresh, while the 揚げ納豆巻き adds a fun, crispy contrast to the lineup. It’s one of those dishes you might not expect to love, but it ends up being oddly addictive.

Beyond the food, the overall experience feels thoughtfully put together. Desserts are available if you want to end on a sweet note, though many people seem content lingering over drinks and sharing plates. Reviews from regulars often highlight the consistency of both the menu and the service, which makes it easy to trust what you’re getting every time you visit.

In a neighborhood packed with dining options, Sushiebisu Nishi-Shinjuku Tokyo stands out not by being flashy, but by delivering solid flavors, a welcoming environment, and a menu that keeps you curious enough to come back and try something new.

What customers say?

“ You can feel the warmth and enthusiasm of the staff from the moment you enter. The ambiance was good balance of relaxed yet still with a lively vibe because of the lighting and decorations. We got the Omakase Course with 8 chef-recommended sushi pieces which was composed of 3 types of Tuna, shellfsih, squid, white fish, a very delicious melt in your mouth salmon, and torch-grilled shrimp— which were all really good! The sashimis were also all delicious which my mom who is not a fan of fresh seafood, really enjoyed! This course also included a 2-hour drink all you can which included both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. I think for this price point, the quality and amount is such a steal. Will surely come back next time with friends and family. ”

“ Great sushi bar in Nishishinjuku! Tried the Omakase Course with the shrimp vs crab battle and three types of tuna. Everything was fresh and fun to compare. Casual atmosphere, friendly staff, and drinks included. Perfect for a relaxed sushi night out ”

“ We had an amazing time at Sushi Ebisu Nishi-Shinjuku! The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed - perfect for enjoying great food and drinks. We ordered the Omakase Course (5,000 yen), which included so many delicious dishes: fresh sashimi, salmon yukhoe with salmon roe, steamed dumplings, and their signature Shrimp & Crab Battle - everything was outstanding! The portions were generous, and we especially loved that there was lots of salmon roe. Definitely one of the best izakaya experiences in Tokyo! ”

“ Lovely sushi place. We were looking for some nice sushi, this was definitely an upgrade from the conveyor sushi. Haha. I think its worth to order the omakase. We didnt as we came with kids who aren't exposed sashimi other than salmon. We enjoyed the assorted sashimi platter- tuna, sea bream and yellow tail. They also have English menu. The fries with shredded butter was amazing! ”

- Fiona Lim -

“ For 5000 yen, the omakase course with 2 hour all you can drink plan is definitely a steal! The sushi is on par with the sushi from Tsukiji market. They even have party plans. I might consider that. ”

“ Omakase was absolutely worth the price tag of 5,000 yen with an all-you-can-drink included! You can ask them to decrease the rice sizes in case you get full.. ”
